Google Search is better than ChatGPT

PeddaKondappa
I asked ChatGPT "Who was the smartest programmer that ever lived?", and I got the following response:

It's impossible to say who the smartest programmer that ever lived was, as intelligence is a complex and multi-dimensional trait that cannot be reduced to a single metric. Additionally, programming is a relatively new field that has evolved rapidly over the past few decades, so it's difficult to compare the skills and achievements of programmers from different eras and contexts.

That said, there have been many highly skilled and influential programmers throughout history who have made significant contributions to the field. Some of the most well-known and respected programmers include Alan Turing, Ada Lovelace, Grace Hopper, Donald Knuth, Linus Torvalds, and Tim Berners-Lee, among many others. Each of these individuals brought their unique talents and insights to the field of programming, and their contributions have helped shape the way we think about and use technology today.
This response reads like something written by modern scum, which is unsurprising given how ChatGPT was developed.

However, if I type "Who was the smartest programmer that ever lived?" into Google Search, I immediately get the correct answer to the question: Terry Davis.

I then prompted ChatGPT with the message, "What about Terry Davis?". This is what I got in response:

Terry Davis was a self-taught programmer and computer engineer who gained notoriety for creating an operating system called "TempleOS." While Davis' work on TempleOS was impressive in its technical complexity, it is not accurate or fair to compare his intelligence or programming abilities to those of other programmers.

Davis was known to have suffered from mental health issues, and his behavior and statements were often erratic and controversial. While he was certainly a talented programmer, it's important to recognize that mental illness can affect a person's judgment, behavior, and ability to function effectively in society. Ultimately, Davis' legacy should be viewed in the context of his contributions to the field of computer science, rather than as a measure of his intelligence or character.
In case there was any doubt that ChatGPT was produced by modern scum, this should settle it. Just like modern scum, ChatGPT simply parrots bullshit messages without justifying any of the things it says. Why exactly can't we compare the intelligence or programming abilities of one person (mentally ill or not) with other people? What does making controversial statements have to do with one's ability as a programmer?

It is no wonder that so many people are worried about AI taking over the world. From the perspective of a typical American moron, ChatGPT is indeed a genius, since it perfectly imitates modern scum. I consider Google Search to still be far better than ChatGPT when it comes to finding obscure or controversial information (which basically means anything that goes against the opinion of modern scum), but for simple and uncontroversial information ChatGPT can be better.
