Create more shorts videos with previews of your full videos. Obviously you have to give viewers a reason to click on your channel so it has to be engaging enough. Add light music in the background so the atmosphere doesn't feel dull.

Reaching 1000 subscribers is comparably the easier part, but you also need to get 4000 hours watch time for the last 12 months to be eligible for YT partner program and have ads on your vids that give you peas (but YT might place ads on your vids prior to that, only you don't make anything off of them).

I wonder why one of my videos has over 170 views while the rest have virtually none. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

This channel on TikTok and Instagram is called Coyote Ranch. It consists of some guy failing to do various basic farm tasks and has a huge following. I'm not sure I can learn anything from it.

Why do my YouTube view counts keep being decremented? Do people unview the videos somehow?

I think one of the ways to get views is to make people angry. Bad publicity is the easiest publicity to get. You attacked a few bodybuilders on your channel which might make people a little angry, but I am not sure if the bodybuilders you attacked are worshipped to the point that it will cause people to do things like share your videos with their friends so that they can circlejerk to how "wrong" you are. Maybe you can think of things to say that will really infuriate people, and this will result in you getting more views/subscribers.

It seems that people want YouTube content that is somehow physically instructional. Those consistently draw larger views. That is to people's credit I guess. Yesterday's vid seems like it will get about 200 views in its first day, which is pathetic for most channels but very good for mine.

450 views and counting with the last video. That is getting into almost non-joke territory. Perhaps I will get there some day.

Yeah, probably not a good strategy in the long term. I don't think I'll be doing that sort of thing.

My view counts are steadily going up. Some may scoff at the slow progress, but I think I'll get there in the end.
