Old Testament

If you come across your enemy’s stray ox or donkey, you must return it to him. If you see the donkey of someone who hates you lying helpless under its load, and you want to refrain from helping it, you must help with it.
- Exodus 23:4-5

You must not harbor hatred against your brother. Rebuke your neighbor directly, and you will not incur guilt because of him. Do not take revenge or bear a grudge against members of your community, but love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yehovah.
- Leviticus 19:17-18

When a foreigner lives with you in your land, you must not oppress him. You must regard the foreigner who lives with you as the native-born among you. You are to love him as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt; I am Yehovah your God.
- Leviticus 19:33-34

You must completely destroy them — the Hittite, Amorite, Canaanite, Perizzite, Hivite, and Jebusite — as Yehovah your God has commanded you, so that they won’t teach you to do all the detestable things they do for their gods, and you sin against Yehovah your God.
- Deuteronomy 20:17

Do not despise an Edomite, because he is your brother. Do not despise an Egyptian, because you were a foreign resident in his land.
- Deuteronomy 23:7

You may charge a foreigner interest, but you must not charge your brother interest, so that Yehovah your God may bless you in everything you do in the land you are entering to possess.
- Deuteronomy 23:20

The LORD tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.
- Psalm 11:5

“Wasn’t Esau Jacob’s brother?” This is the Lord’s declaration. “Even so, I loved Jacob, but I hated Esau. I turned his mountains into a wasteland, and gave his inheritance to the desert jackals.”
- Malachi 1:2 (and Romans 9:13)

Rechabites - Jeremiah 35
