Live Lingua is an online language tutoring service done through Skype. You buy credits and then add a teacher's skype name to your skype. You then schedule one hour classes. I have only used the service with Spanish speakers in Mexico. This is closest experience you can get to full immersion. I prefer this over going to a real class because it's one on one and the schedule is more flexible. My language studying method is to use a Live Lingua tutor in conjunction with
Anki and
Awesome TTS. One decision I regret is not picking a tutor in my time zone. I instead picked a tutor that lived where I was planning to travel. This creates scheduling challenges sometimes. The rate for a Mexican tutor was approximately $12 an hour, but if you buy sessions in bulk you will get discounts.
