Retreating into fiction

Has anyone ever thought that they just want to immerse themselves in fictional things as much as possible as an escapism from the depressing real world that will not change and continue getting worse no matter what?

I have hobbies to keep me distracted. I am involved in the martial arts and play around with lots of real historical weapons and archery

changing myself is measureable and gifts me the peace i need at the brink of those exact times brother... Assalamualaikum!~~
