Why does no one hate AI?

AI might be great for the elites because of all the jobs it has the potential to replace, but for average ordinary people it is only kind of useful. ChatGPT is convenient for some things, like it is often easier to ask ChatGPT how to use a programming library than to read the documentation, or search the Internet for an example. This is kind of useful, it might save you a couple of hours of trying to figure it out yourself, if it is a library you are new to. The AI art is also cool - I use AI generated art in the advertisement I make for my religious gathering, and people always compliment me on it. The translation is also nice, it is nice that I was able to translate Arabic religious texts without paying someone thousands of dollars to do it.

These are benefits that I as an ordinary non-elite person get from AI, and even though it is cool that AI can do all these things, it doesn't really directly benefit me that much, other than making things a little more convenient. On the other hand, it has huge potential for putting people out of work, allowing the elites to sustain themselves without paying people to do work. It cheapens the work we do in the eyes of management because now AI can do something similar. We get a small amount of convenience in exchange for our own obsolescence.

Why aren't more people disturbed by this? On Reddit it's very hard to find anti ChatGPT posts, and the few I do find are downvoted. Why are people not more paranoid about this new technology which has the potential to take all our jobs? I mean when the masses hate something or are afraid of something they always call for banning it, but I have not been able to find any instances of people advocating banning AI.

People are inclined to be drawn to things that lead to decadence. All religions of the world warned us against it. If too many people like it, something’s wrong

Adam and Eve were thrown out of the garden for eating the forbidden fruit, 🍎 now we all carry a device with an icon of an apple with a bite
